Erowid Note: a second line on fentanyl test strips in 2022 and 2023 is a NEGATIVE result with no fentanyl detected. We do not know what 'colorless 2nd line' means.

Sample acquired May 2022.
Mar 2 2023: *-MeO-DMT identified, presumably 5-MeO-DMT. Certified reference standards are newly available for 4-MeO-DMT and 6-MeO-DMT, and the lab has ordered some. They are going to run this sample again to see whether there are any surprises. It might be months before we see the results of any analysis with the new standards. Check back for updates.
While the submitter reported that this substance was sold as 5-MeO-DMT, the sample name they filled out on the submission form was ''DMT''. These substances have different effects and dosages. Using the term ''DMT'' as shorthand to refer to 5-Methoxy-DMT can be confusing. See 5-MeO-DMT is Not ''DMT'': Differentiation is Wise.
