March 10, 2021: We are still actively working on identifying the chemicals in this sample.

Technical description: We currently believe that the largest unidentified component (the substance marked as '13 parts'), with the file-number of #3, is probably a chemical closely related to Benzenepropanoic acid, possibly CAS 2082-79-3.

Our current working theory is that 9520-unidentified-1 and 9520-unidentified-2 are breakdown products or artifacts of 9520-unidentified-3 (13 parts, CAS 2082-79-3). We hope to continue making progress on these identifications, but any outside help is invited!
Unidentifed Substances
This sample contains an unidentified chemical. We do not have a matching substance in our lab's internal database and have not yet been able to identify the chemical(s).

We need the help of outside expert analytical chemists and drug geeks to determine what substance matches the mass spectrum (MS) fingerprint. The lab's GC/MS graphs can be viewed by clicking on the thumbnails on this page.
