Lab comments:
Sample was re-analyzed after reference standards for 3-fluoro-4-methyl-alpha-PVP and 4-fluoro-3-methyl-alpha-PVP were received. Substance is clearly 4-fluoro-3-methyl-alpha-PVP.
Red shield-shaped tablet with Ferrari logo on front and break line on back.

Name given to this sample on the submission form was 'Mkat' while the 'Sold as' was given as 'MDMA'. Tablets that look like this have historically been referred to as Ferrari or Red Ferrari. No explanation provided for the 'Mkat' name.
Jan 27, 2021: Since re-analysis, identification of the active in this tablet has been updated to 4-fluoro-3-methyl-alpha-PVP. At the time of the first-run analysis, the substance was identified as either 3-fluoro-4-methyl-alpha-PVP or 4-fluoro-3-methyl-alpha-PVP by library match. They have the same mass spectrum, and very close retention time, and weren't distinguishable from each other without running the standards.

Jan 21, 2021: Reference standards are available for 3-fluoro-4-methyl-alpha-PVP and 4-fluoro-3-methyl-alpha-PVP and have been ordered, this sample will be re-analyzed once the lab receives them. Check back in 1-2 weeks for an update.
Jan 21, 2021: This sample's reagent colors were described differently at time of publication. On consultation with the DrugsData crew we've updated them. It's the crew's opinion that the colors present in the photos are the result of the tablet's coloring, and not a true change of the reagent colors.

Other compounds like alpha-PiHP, 4-chloro-alpha-PVP, 3-fluoro-alpha-PVP or 4-fluoro-alpha-PVP that are closely related to 3-fluoro-4-methyl-alpha-PVP and 4-fluoro-3-methyl-alpha-PVP produce no color change.
